About Wichita Collegiate School

Wichita Collegiate School is a college preparatory co-educational day school in Wichita, Kansas, serving families with children age 2 through Grade 12. Collegiate was founded in 1963 by a group of parents who wanted to provide a uniquely excellent education for their children. With a total current enrollment of approximately 950 students, Collegiate continues to maintain its emphasis on individual attention in small classes. A challenging academic curriculum, a focus on values and community service, as well as opportunities for participation in the arts and athletics are all part of an integrated program created to allow students to discover their talents and realize their potential.

The mission of Wichita Collegiate School, “to inspire all students to be the best versions of themselves through a transformative education grounded in academic excellence within our inclusive community,” guides the dynamic teaching faculty as it prepares students to lead lives of impact.

Collegiate provides stimulating and demanding educational programs with an equally high level of support that allows all students to achieve. Collegiate prepares students for higher education and a productive and personally fulfilling life; its teachers foster independence, responsibility, confidence, and the ability to build upon acquired learning skills. Lifelong learning is modeled by faculty and staff, and a commitment to personal improvement is instilled in students. Faculty and students alike experience the excitement that comes from learning and solving genuine problems together.

A focus on character is the foundation upon which academic, athletic, arts, and community service programs are built. Collegiate fosters integrity, humility, tolerance, and a realization of the worth of others.
